Services for KLIMZUG-Projects
The Climate Service Center gives advice and support to the multidisciplinary joint projects from KLIMZUG (Managing climate change in the regions for the future). These projects examine how local impacts of climate change in different regions of Germany may be dealt with and develop possible strategies of adaptation to changed climate conditions.
During the five year project period the projects are supported in every phase: from supplying regional climate model data to handling and interpreting data up to answering questions regarding the operation of impact models and the communication of these proposals to public, industry and policy-makers.
This process is facilitating and coordinating. Possible synergies within the KLIMZUG-network and in exchange with other projects and stakeholders are identified and brought forward. Thus the national task of adaptation is supported.

Former Service Gruppe Adaptation (SGA)
The homepage of the former Service Gruppe Adaptation (SGA) of the Model and Data group at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) offers helpful information on climate model data and the data download. On top of that, climatologic maps of model simulations are ready for download.
