Helmholtz Climate Initiative:
Final report of the first phase is released
The Helmholtz Climate Initiative has published the final report of the first phase. The initiative combines research on climate protection and adaptation - two sides of the same coin: "Net-Zero-2050" (mitigation) and "Adaptation to extreme events" (adaptation). In the past two years, 15 Helmholtz centres across six different research fields have joined forces to closely research the topic of "climate change" systemically, to cross the boundaries of specialist disciplines and to find answers that do justice to the complexity of this challenge. The climate initiative also includes a communication cluster enabling a lively dialogue to enable exchange with and knowledge transfer to society. In the final report, the three clusters of the Helmholtz Climate Initiative highlight what has been achieved as of March 31, 2022.
