Rodrigo Valencia works as a PhD candidate at GERICS in the Integrative Modeling Lab project. His research focuses on the modeling of emissions in agriculture and the development of new strategies for adaptation to climate change.
Rodrigo graduated as mechanical engineer with a minor in electrical engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM). After his graduation, he worked for two years as energy consultant for international companies. During his master studies at the University of Hohenheim and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, he specialized in environmental sciences with a focus on water management. In his master's thesis, he dealt with the phytoremediation of heavy metals in aquatic ecosystems.
