Antonina Krüger works as a research associate within the Transfer and Capacity Building Department at the Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS). She primarily works in the ProPolis project, which is part of the funding measure „Urban Climate under Change“ financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The funding measure aims at developing a new and practice-oriented urban climate model that allows simulating present and future climate and air pollution problems in urban areas.

Antonina Krüger studied architecture and received her master`s degree in «Resource Efficiency in Architecture and Planning» from the HafenCity University in Hamburg. Her main focuses were interdisciplinary strategies for the climate adapted urban environment, integration of the ecosystem services in densely built-up urban areas, as well as improvement of the quality of life in cities. In between and after her studies she worked as an architect and project manager in various international planning offices in Russia and in Germany. Due to her extensive practical experience she brings the practitioner perspective into the scientific project work.
