David Cabana is a marine biologist and ecologist with experience in coastal socioecological research led to develop more balanced coastal management. His current interest is to work for advancing in the integration of climate change and sociocultural approaches in coastal governance and management within marine protected areas.
During the last 10 years David contributed to multidisciplinary projects in the field of benthic ecology, marine conservation, coastal management, and cultural ecosystem services.
David received his PhD in marine biology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens working at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research for the MSCA funded project, Monitoring Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas. David has also developed postdoctoral research at the University College Dublin and the International Marine Centre, Italy.
