Keriin Katsaros joined GERICS as a doctoral candidate in June 2023. She works in the CoCareSociety (Co-creating Climate Services for Care Economy and Caring Society) project, which aims to understand the interrelations between climate change, long-term care, health, and well-being of the elderly, and their energy efficiency in the living environment. The project will investigate how changes can be induced in the interconnected systems to maximize the health-climate-energy nexus outcomes to co-create friendly, climate-resilient, affordable, and sustainable future societies.

Keriin Katsaros earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and a bachelor's degree from the University of California Santa Barbara. Before GERICS, she worked in multiple international health projects focusing on prevention, health promotion, and the social determinants of health.
