Cicilia Steffi Lukman joined GERICS as a doctoral candidate in September 2023. She works in the EU Project The HuT (The Human-Tech Nexus Project: Building a safe haven to cope with climate extremes), which aims to promote innovative disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation solutions by integrating best practices and multi-disciplinary experiences to deal with extreme events. In the project, representatives of the scientific and technical sectors, practitioners, policy-makers, and local communities will develop interdisciplinary risk management tools and approaches that can be adapted across Europe and beyond.
Previously, Steffi earned a Master’s degree in Resource Efficiency in Architecture and Planning from Hafencity University Hamburg and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Architecture from Tarumanagara University Jakarta.
