SASSCAL Science Symposium in Sambia

From 16 - 20 April 2018, the SASSCAL Science Symposium took place in Lusaka, Zambia. GERICS staff member Torsten Weber presented the activities and results achieved in the project.

In his presentation "Analyzing Regional Climate Change in Africa in a 1.5, 2, and 3 ° C Global Warming World", he presented the possible changes in various sector-specific climate indices in Africa under three different climate change scenarios. In addition, the capacity building measures implemented in the SASSCAL countries, and the newly developed version of the regional climate model REMO for desktop computers, called EasyREMO, were presented in a poster session.
